| Connect with Industry Leaders in a More Intimate Setting |
This year’s AFLA conference is designed so you can do just that. Comprised of senior-level, experienced fleet professionals, the 2012 AFLA conference registration roster reads like a “Who’s Who” list of the corporate fleet industry. By the same token, the atmosphere of the conference venue is designed to help attendees connect and feel like part of an intimate group rather than being “lost in the crowd.” The conference has grown to a point where attendees can make their voice heard but AFLA remains small enough to allow for personal connections to be made.
“AFLA has consistently increasing investment in the quality of our conference, which is expanding registration in ways we haven’t seen in past,” explains AFLA Executive Director Paul Hanscom, ”We’ve never had this many people signed up to attend AFLA a month before the event.”

| It’s a Very Big Year for Ford Government Fleets |
Tony Gratson has been Ford Motor Company’s government sales manager since 2001. While he’s justifiably proud of Ford’s newest fleet vehicles (an impressive group of fuel-sippers), he’s especially excited about the automaker’s new Police Interceptors. He gives kudos to Ford’s Police Advisory Board, a group of government fleet managers who helped Ford design these hot cop cars. Just goes to show, if you want something done right, get the fleet managers involved early in the process!

Your Mom Was Right, Hard Work Pays Off!
You must read our interview with ARI’s client relations chief. Bob White, in The Fleet Spot. He gives us a terrific overview of the market and ARI’s unique place in it. His family were dairy farmers, and talking about his ethics he said (and we loved it), ” I was taught at a very young age that you get up early, you work late and at the end of the day you feel good about what you accomplished. I don’t know that I am smarter than anybody else, but I don’t know anybody that works harder than I do.”
We so admire author and speaker Jeof Bean. In Customer Experience Insights he gives us the second in his Customer Experience series:“Go Outside for Insights, Your Customers Do.”
We are big fans of Ford’s Tony Gratson — check out Fleet Q&A to get the lowdown on Ford’s government fleet business. Tony is rightfully chipper about the automaker’s new products, but he’s most excited when he talks about the new Police Interceptors! (Sounds like a TV show title!)
Only 24 days to AFLA. We will be at this superb conference in San Antonio and we hope to see you! Learn more
Drive Safety,
Janice
